Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in engineering within the construction and civil engineering sectors. The Junior Engineer will assist in various projects, providing support in project management, design, and technical documentation while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Duties

  • Assist in project scheduling and coordination to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit for drafting and design purposes.
  • Support construction management efforts by preparing construction estimates and schematics.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and technical writing tasks.
  • Engage in geotechnical engineering studies and water treatment projects as needed.
  • Utilize GIS tools like ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis related to projects.
  • Participate in the development of hydraulic models using HEC-RAS or SWMM software.
  • Contribute to project engineering efforts by assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and drafting skills.
  • Understanding of construction estimating processes and methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS applications (ArcGIS) is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills with the ability to apply them in engineering contexts (Mathcad).
  • Willingness to learn about pipeline systems, hydraulics, wastewater treatment, and land surveying techniques.
