Job Description: Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents and threats to ensure the protection of end customer organization's information assets & maintenance, troubleshooting, upgradation, and migration activities of Netwitenss SIEM Solution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Threat Monitoring:

  2. Continuously monitor security alerts and incidents using security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

  3. Analyze and investigate security events to determine if they pose a threat.

  4. Incident Response:

  5. Respond promptly to security incidents, providing thorough analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery measures.

  6. Collaborate with incident response teams and communicate effectively during security incidents.

  7. Security Analysis:

  8. Conduct in-depth analysis of logs, network traffic, and other security-related data to identify and mitigate security risks.

  9. Stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

  10. Vulnerability Management:

  11. Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

  12. Work with IT teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.

  13. Security Documentation:

  14. Maintain comprehensive documentation of security incidents, investigations, and responses.

  15. Contribute to the development and improvement of security policies and procedures.

  16. Security Awareness:

  17. Provide security awareness training to end-users and stakeholders.

  18. Foster a culture of security within the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

  2. Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

  3. Experience:

  4. A minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrade, and migration activities related to the NetWitness SIEM solution.

  5. Proven experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar role.

  6. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, techniques, and technologies.

  7. Technical Skills:

  8. Familiarity with SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

  9. Experience with security incident response and threat intelligence.

  10. Trained on the NetWitness Platform (Administrator and Analyst).

  11. Certifications (Preferred):

  12. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified by Nitwitness SIEM solution or equivalent.

  13. Analytical Skills:

  14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  15. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
