Role & responsibilities

  • Administer Oracle databases on Exadata (X8/X9/X10) environments
  • Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching (GI, DB, Exadata stack)
  • Monitor and tune database and Exadata performance (SQL, storage, I/O, Smart Scan)
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Manage RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate environments
  • Implement and maintain backup & recovery using RMAN
  • Handle capacity planning, space management, and performance forecasting
  • Troubleshoot complex database and Exadata-related issues
  • Ensure high availability, DR readiness, and SLA compliance
  • Implement security best practices, auditing, and compliance controls
  • Support application deployments and production releases
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell/Python/Ansible
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support and infrastructure teams
