Job Description

Position Overview:

At Futuristic Labs, we believe in dreaming big, building boldly, and growing together. As a Production Planning & Quality Intern, you will be an essential part of turning innovative concepts into reality. You will oversee production workflows, ensure quality standards, and maintain inventory processes for our electromechanical product line. Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Control:

2. Supervise daily production activities, including manufacturing, embedded systems, wiring harness assembly, packaging, and end-of-line testing.

3. Allocate tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
4. Interpret engineering and assembly drawings to guide production processes and maintain high-quality standards.
5. Optimize production workflows and manpower allocation to achieve efficiency and output goals.

6. Maintain accurate and detailed production documentation, including reports, quality files, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), invoices, and billing records.

7. Quality Assurance:

8. Perform inward and in-process quality checks to ensure components and assemblies meet design and performance specifications.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective measures.

10. Uphold stringent quality assurance practices for electro-mechanical assembly and manufacturing.

11. Inventory & Stores Management:

12. Implement effective inventory management practices, including stock tracking, material issuing, and inventory updates.

13. Ensure that inventory for product development and bought-out items is well-maintained and meets project timelines.

14. Organize and oversee stores maintenance to support production activities seamlessly.

15. Vendor Coordination & Logistics:

16. Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of materials and manage logistics for incoming shipments.

17. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability.

18. Process Improvement & Collaboration:

19. Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement changes.

20. Utilize basic ERP systems and tools to enhance resource planning and streamline workflows.

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed in This Role:

Education & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 0–1 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in electro-mechanical production environments.

Skills:

• Proficiency in interpreting engineering and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools for efficient documentation and planning.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
