Role & responsibilities

  • Floating enquiries of mechanical machining components, Raw Materials,Packaging Materials, pipe & fittings, valves, Pumps, Blowers and Chemicals & Consumables & preparation of Techno-commercial comparisons with budgeted costs & also recommendation of vendor for further procurement action.
  • Processing suppliers commercial invoice to account for billing.
  • Coordinate and conducting review meeting internally with the principals of project execution team like Design, production and vendor.
  • Evaluation & development of new suppliers with respect to technology, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Preparation of time & action calendar for each order from order receiving to shipment.
  • Regular contact with vendor to update daily status.
  • Sending pending PRN reports as well as the PO database on weekly basis.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • A knack for negotiation and networking
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Any Bachelor degree or Preferrable BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
