Role Summary

Responsible for overseeing procurement of raw materials and managing logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation, storage, and delivery. This role focuses on vendor negotiation, inventory control, and coordination across departments while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement

  • Source and procure raw materials as per production plans.

  • Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers.

  • Ensure cost-effective purchases that meet quality standards.

Logistics & Supply Chain

  • Plan and manage inbound logistics to ensure timely delivery.

  • Optimize transportation costs and monitor freight efficiency.

  • Ensure documentation for dispatch and receipt of goods.

  • Track logistics KPIs (cost, delivery timelines, and quality).

Team & Process Management

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of expenses and statutory dues.

  • Coordinate with production, finance, and quality teams.

MIS & Reporting

  • Generate timely reports for management review.

  • Monitor inventory, purchase trends, and vendor performance.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of raw material sourcing in manufacturing.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

  • Proficient in logistics operations and cost optimization.

  • Good understanding of inventory management and compliance norms.

  • Proficiency in Excel/MIS and ERP systems preferred.
