LOOKING FOR A TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT FOR A REPUTED SHIP MANAGEMENT COMPANY BASED IN SOUTH MUMBAI, OPERATING A FLEET OF BULK CARRIERS.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Should have sea-going work experience of minimum 2/3 years as Chief Engineer holding first class MOT/ DOT certificate as well as some shore experience of Technical Superintendent in a shipping company.
  2. Should have advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Should be proficient with computer operations on Windows 10.
  3. Must possess good organizational and communication skills for day to day follow up of maintenance and operation of ships.
  4. Must understand basic accounting and be capable of devising and managing budgets.
  5. Must be Independent and resourceful. Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  6. Should be analytical and highly proactive in technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
  7. Should be able to supervise ships operations and monitor ships condition and ship staff compliance with management policies, International maritime regulations ensuring all procedures are adhered to and complied with ISM, ISPS, Classification rules and maritime insurances.
  8. Should be able to undertake drydocking of ships independently.
  9. Ability to travel within short notice as required and if necessary to travel on ships for short duration for official attendance.
  10. Candidates must have a residence in Mumbai.
