Job Description – SAP ABAP FI TRM BTP MDG Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Consultant with expertise across multiple domains—
ABAP development, SAP FI, Treasury & Risk Management (TRM), Business Technology Platform (BTP), and Master Data Governance (MDG)
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end SAP solutions, including custom developments, functional configuration, integration, and governance for enterprise-critical financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • ABAP Development
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP custom applications, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
  • Optimize ABAP code performance and ensure alignment with SAP best practices.
  • Work on debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in existing customizations.
  • SAP FI & TRM
  • Support
    FI modules
    including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
  • Implement and support
    Treasury & Risk Management (TRM)
    processes such as cash management, financial transactions, market risk, credit risk, and hedge management.
  • Provide expertise in integration of FI/TRM with other modules and external systems.
  • SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
  • Develop and deploy applications on
    SAP BTP
    using CAP (Cloud Application Programming), Fiori/UI5, OData services, and APIs.
  • Work on SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), Event Mesh, and extension scenarios.
  • Collaborate on modernization initiatives migrating legacy processes to SAP BTP.
  • SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)
  • Configure and manage
    MDG for Finance, Vendor, Customer, and Material master data
    .
  • Ensure data quality, governance policies, and workflow approvals are adhered to.
  • Drive integration of MDG with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.
  • General
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide effective SAP solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, SOX, and audit requirements.
  • Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business users and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in
    SAP ABAP (OO ABAP, CDS Views, Enhancements, Interfaces, Reports, SmartForms, OData)
    .
  • Good understanding of
    SAP FI submodules
    (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting).
  • In-depth knowledge of
    SAP TRM processes
    (Cash & Liquidity, Risk Management, Treasury Deals).
  • Proven experience in
    SAP BTP extension and integration
    (CAP, Fiori/UI5, CPI).
  • Hands-on expertise in
    SAP MDG
    (Data Modeling, Process Modeling, BRF+, Data Replication, Validations/Derivations).
  • Functional Knowledge
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, treasury operations, and financial risk management.
  • Understanding of master data lifecycle management and governance best practices.
  • Other Requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working in
    Agile/DevOps environments
    .
  • Minimum
    6–10 years of SAP experience
    with multi-module exposure.
