Embedded Validation Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Embedded Validation Engineer to lead and execute validation activities across functional, firmware, and end-to-end layers of embedded platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership in validation strategy, and hands-on experience in embedded systems testing.

Experience: 6 to 9 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional Validation
  • Lead the design and execution of functional test plans based on system and module-level requirements.
  • Review and refine test strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage of embedded features.
  • Mentor junior engineers in functional testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Drive defect triaging and root cause analysis in collaboration with development teams.
  • Firmware Validation
  • Own the validation of firmware components including bootloader, drivers, middleware, and applications.
  • Define and implement unit, integration, and regression testing strategies.
  • Utilize advanced debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) to resolve firmware issues.
  • Collaborate with firmware architects to align validation with design goals.
  • End-to-End (E2E) Validation
  • Architect and execute E2E test scenarios that simulate real-world workflows across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
  • Ensure system-level reliability, performance, and interoperability.
  • Develop automation frameworks for E2E validation and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless platform integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6–9 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems validation.
  • Strong expertise in embedded architectures, microcontrollers, and RTOS.
  • Proficiency in C/C and scripting languages (Python preferred).
  • Deep understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, WiFi, etc).
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
