Company Description

'Turtle on a Hammock Films' is a full-service film production company founded by Geeta Singh and Avinash Kumar Singh. The firm produce a variety of content including feature films, commercials, and programming for platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Discovery Channel. The company also operates state-of-the-art edit suites and an Audio suite to facilitate post-production work.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Engineer at Turtle on a Hammock Films in Mumbai. The network engineer will be responsible for upkeep of the high speed connectivity of a busy edit studio and be able to quickly trouble shoot IP, networking, throughput, bandwidth and other issues that may occur with our 21 edit bays on a daily basis. The candidate is also required to remain abreast of the latest and greatest within the industry from a referencing point of view.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering.
  • Additional certifications such as CCNA or AWS are preferred and will give the candidate an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Have in-depth and comprehensive understanding of Networking fundamentals
    to manage, and troubleshoot the network infrastructure.
  • A proficiency in network protocols - TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, subnetting, VLAN's, DNS and LAN/WAN
  • Strong understanding of network security, cloud security and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems like MacOS and Linux is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Experience & Soft Skills

  • The ability to isolate, analyse and resolve complex network issues is a key requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to technical & non-technical colleagues.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential for managing a complex studio environment.
