Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Mentoring
Deliver lectures and lessons in areas of architectural expertise.
- Lead and supervise undergraduate and graduate design studios.
- Prepare course materials and manage online learning platforms.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and other assessments.
- Advise and mentor students to support their academic and professional growth.
Supervise student internships or field training.
Research
Conduct original research in a specialized area of architecture.
- Prepare research proposals and seek funding to establish research groups.
- Publish academic articles and books and present research at conferences.
Contribute to research and development in curriculum design and architectural practice.
Service and Administration
Participate in departmental and university committees.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional activities.
- Assist with faculty recruitment and serve as a mentor for new faculty.
- Contribute to university efforts in innovation and community engagement.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by university leadership.
Essential Qualifications (Varies by Institution)
- Master of Architecture (M.Arch) and Bachelor of Architecture.
- PHD is plus point.
- A strong portfolio of research, practice, or academic work in their area of expertise.
- Experience in teaching and/or professional practice.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish original research.
