Job Description

Job Purpose

Ensure that our products comply with national safety, performance, and regulatory standards. This role involves managing end-to-end product testing and certification processes, coordinating with third-party labs and regulatory authorities, and maintaining compliance documentation. The position plays a key role in enabling market readiness, supporting export certifications, and safeguarding product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing and certification of multiple household appliances.
  • Liaise with third-party laboratories for product testing and certification.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies such as BIS, BEE, NABL, and ISO to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of IS and IEC standards, including IEC , IS 374, IS 4250, and other relevant appliance standards.
  • Manage and support export certification processes to facilitate global market access.
  • Maintain accurate testing reports, technical documentation, and records in line with BIS guidelines.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal testing standards.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and testing agencies to align testing activities with project timelines and business objectives.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong knowledge of certification standards (IS, IEC, BIS, BEE, NABL, ISO).
  • Hands-on experience with product testing and certification processes for consumer durable goods or household appliances.
  • Ability to interpret and apply compliance standards and guidelines in practical scenarios.
  • Proficiency in documentation, audit handling, and report preparation.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with external labs and internal teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight project deadlines.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) – preferably in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in certification, compliance, and product testing.
  • Prior experience in consumer durables or working with testing laboratories is preferred
