Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have between 6 to 12 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting SAP PM modules in various business settings. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient maintenance management and contribute to the optimization of plant operations.Key Responsibilities:**

• SAP PM Module Implementation & Support:

• Lead and manage SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) projects from a functional perspective, ensuring the successful implementation of the module.

• Provide support and configuration of the SAP PM module to meet business needs.

• Perform system analysis, design, and configuration in SAP PM to support plant maintenance operations.

• Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis:

• Interact with stakeholders to gather business requirements related to plant maintenance processes and convert them into functional specifications.

• Conduct workshops, and document functional requirements and design solutions.

• Configuration & Customization:

• Configure SAP PM modules to ensure the effective management of plant maintenance processes, including preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, work orders, notifications, and equipment management.

• Customize SAP PM systems based on user requirements, including master data setup, maintenance plans, work center configuration, and maintenance order types.

• Testing & Validation:

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system functionality aligns with business needs.

• Coordinate with the testing team to ensure thorough testing of new features and functionalities in SAP PM.

• Training & Documentation:

• Provide end-user training on SAP PM functionalities and best practices.

• Create and maintain training materials and user manuals for SAP PM processes.

• Develop and maintain documentation for SAP PM configurations, customizations, and operational workflows.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Recommend and implement improvements to SAP PM processes to optimize plant maintenance, reduce downtime, and improve equipment reliability.

• Monitor and ensure system stability, performance, and compliance with industry best practices.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work with SAP MM, SD, PP, and other functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP PM with other modules.

• Collaborate with the IT team for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to SAP PM.

• Project Management:

• Lead or support SAP PM projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

• Manage timelines, resources, and risks associated with SAP PM initiatives.

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 6-12 years of experience in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module implementation, configuration, and support.
• SAP Certifications: SAP PM certification is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP PM configuration and customization.

• Good knowledge of SAP integration with MM, SD, and PP modules.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA, S/4HANA, or other SAP Cloud solutions is a plus.

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps for PM is an added advantage.

• Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant maintenance, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, maintenance orders, equipment management, and planning.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze business problems and translate them into technical solutions within SAP PM.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams.
• Leadership: Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and handle project deliverables.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori or SAP S/4HANA PM solutions.
• Experience in SAP PM implementation in various industries (e.g., manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas).
• Experience in change management, data migration, and post-implementation support.
