Role Overview

We're seeking a talented Backend Developer with strong expertise in PHP to join our dynamic team. Experience with and familiarity with frontend frameworks like React will be an added advantage, as this role involves close collaboration with frontend and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using PHP.
  • Leverage for specific modules and integrations (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integration and application performance.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders based in Australia.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and continuously improve development standards and processes.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in PHP development (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of (preferred).
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks, particularly React, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of databases, RESTful APIs, and Git/version control.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams.
  • Proven experience in startup or fast-paced environments is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an independent, ownership-driven mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Prior experience contributing to product-oriented or high-growth projects.
