Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Engineer
with hands-on expertise in
GCP services, DBT, SQL, Python, and GitLab
. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions while ensuring best practices in version control and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize
    data pipelines and ETL workflows
    using
    GCP services
    (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.).
  • Build and maintain
    transformations in DBT
    with proficiency in
    SQL
    and
    Python
    .
  • Implement
    data models
    to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.
  • Ensure
    data quality, performance, and reliability
    across platforms.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Use
    GitLab
    for version control, CI/CD, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Follow best practices for
    data governance, security, and compliance
    .

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience
    as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in
    Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, etc.)
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    DBT (SQL & Python)
    for data transformations.
  • Strong proficiency in
    SQL
    (complex queries, performance tuning) and
    Python
    for scripting.
  • Experience with
    GitLab
    (version control, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Solid understanding of
    data warehousing concepts, ETL design, and data modeling
    .
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in
    Agile/Scrum environments
    is a plus.
