We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with 5–8 years of hands-on expertise, ideally within the Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical foundation and a proven ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets, particularly in areas like product analytics, geospatial data, and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Expertise:

  • Category/Product Analytics (Must Have): Analyze product assortments, identify emerging trends, and evaluate new product performance.
  • Geo-Spatial Analytics (Must Have): Work with GIS tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS for spatial matching, trade area analysis, and spatial data visualization.
  • Sales Data Analysis (Must Have): Analyze historical sales trends, forecast future performance, and identify key sales drivers.
  • Customer Analytics (Good to Have): Utilize loyalty and campaign data to improve targeting, segmentation, and performance measurement.
Technical Skills & Tools
  • Strong storytelling and data presentation skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Python, SQL, and R.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and principles of explainable AI.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire is a plus.
