Role & responsibilities

  • Assist in data collection, cleansing, and preparation from various sources.
  • Support basic data modelling and documentation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain simple data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Write and optimize queries using SQL.
  • Use Python or PySpark scripts to perform data transformations.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts, engineers, and business teams to gather data requirements and support reporting needs.
  • Contribute to dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc data analysis as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, ETL, or data engineering projects.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory or any cloud-based data integration tool is a plus.
  • Understanding of relational databases (RDBMS) like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Basic understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Interest in CI/CD and automation practices for data workflows.
