Job Title: Devops - AWS (Lead Devops Engineer)

Exp range : 8 to 12 yrs

Location : Chennai / Pune / Bangalore

Job Description

Primary Skills

  • Good understanding of Microservice-based application deployment ecosystem and technologies
  • At least 3 years of Unix shell scripting experience
  • Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software engineering processes
  • Ability to communicate well with business and IT stakeholders
  • Must have experience with configuration managers and continuous delivery tools such as ArgoCD, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Must have experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch, and should be able to implement Dynatrace and Splunk from scratch
  • Experience working on Istio service mesh
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS
  • Familiarity with RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) setup, Networking, Firewall, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps toolsets like GitLab, Git, etc.
  • Hands-on experience and implementation of tools such as Fortify, Sonatype Nexus, Maven, and Harbor
  • Good exposure to Helm charts

Secondary Skills

  • Cloud (AWS) platform knowledge would be a plus
  • Strong writing skills with a good grasp of tone and professional online communication
  • Understanding of the IT Services Consulting industry
  • A strong team player
  • Some experience and understanding of programming languages like Unix shell scripting
  • Exposure to the BFS (Banking and Financial Services) domain

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations
  • Coordination and communication within the team and with stakeholders
  • Ensure continuous improvement and build CI/CD pipelines (Continuous Integration, Continuous Development, and Constant Deployment)
  • Mentoring and guiding team members
  • Introducing automation wherever possible
  • Should be able to create GitLab CI/CD pipelines from scratch
  • Defining and implementing Git branching strategy and release management
  • Participating in design/evaluation of new tools, techniques, and technologies
  • Handling of end-to-end DevOps cycle
  • Ability to share knowledge and explain processes and procedures to others
