Position: Physics Expert with Python (Doctoral & Post Doctoral preferred)

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time hours/week)

Required Expertise:

  • Fundamental Physics: Theoretical Mechanics, Theoretical Optics, Statistical Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Classical Physics, Optics, Acoustics
  • Modern & Applied Physics: Electromagnetism, Photonics, Atomic & Molecular Physics, Solid State Physics, Semiconductor Physics, Biophysics
  • Space & Cosmology: Astrophysics, Space Science, Cosmology
  • Engineering Disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Systems / Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and validate physics and engineering related answers generated by large language models (LLMs)
  • Review technical scientific content, mathematical reasoning, theoretical explanation, and research-based concepts
  • Identify factual inaccuracies, misconceptions, incorrect assumptions, and logical errors
  • Assess model performance on complex and advanced technical, mathematical, and physics problems
  • Work independently using proprietary evaluation tools in a remote setting

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: PhD (candidate or recipient) or Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of graduate-level physics and mathematical modeling
  • Excellent analytical, research, and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous, deadline-driven environment
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python for scientific computing, numerical analysis, or model evaluation
