Overview

We are seeking a part-time AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of proprietary AI solutions specifically for the manufacturing sector. This role emphasizes creating customized AI models that improve manufacturing workflows, solve industry-specific challenges, and optimize efficiency. You will work closely with our development team to embed these AI capabilities within our software suite, using structured data analysis to address real-world issues and ensure continuous enhancement of model performance.

Key Responsibilities

Custom AI Solution Development

• Design and develop proprietary AI applications to meet manufacturing-specific requirements, minimizing reliance on third-party APIs.
• Build and fine-tune machine learning models to address complex manufacturing tasks such as process optimization, predictive error detection, and automated quality control.
• Implement language models to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring they deliver precise, actionable insights.

Data Handling and Model Refinement

• Leverage pandas for robust data handling and processing, transforming manufacturing data into actionable insights for continuous model improvement.
• Continuously refine and adapt models based on real-world manufacturing data, validating performance and adjusting for accuracy in high-demand use cases.

System Integration and Collaboration

• Collaborate with the development team to embed AI features into our product suite, ensuring alignment with existing software architecture and seamless functionality.
• Maintain a scalable and reliable deployment process for proprietary AI applications within our systems.

Documentation and Testing

• Document AI model configurations, development processes, and performance metrics to maintain a clear, repeatable workflow.
• Conduct rigorous testing to validate the reliability, accuracy, and scalability of AI models in manufacturing applications.

Requirements

AI/ML Expertise

• Proven experience in designing custom AI applications for domain-specific uses, with a strong understanding of machine learning and natural language processing(NLP) techniques.
• Experience fine-tuning AI models for specific industry tasks, particularly in manufacturing workflows or related fields.

Programming and Data Handling

• Proficient in Python with extensive experience in pandasfor data handling and preprocessing, essential for working with manufacturing data.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch and experience in deploying scalable ML solutions.

Manufacturing Knowledge (Preferred)

• Familiarity with manufacturing environments, workflows, and processes, and experience with AI-driven optimizations within this domain.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Creative problem-solving skills, with a continuous drive to innovate and improve AI applications.
