# Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Graphic Designer to join our vibrant community. The ideal candidate will be the visual storyteller for our institution, responsible for creating compelling designs that communicate our values, events, and achievements to students, parents, and the wider community. You will transform ideas into engaging visual content across both digital and print platforms, enhancing our school's identity and brand presence.

## Responsibilities

Ø Design and produce a wide range of marketing and communication materials, including brochures, newsletters, event banners, social media graphics, presentations, and email campaigns.

Ø Create visually engaging and age-appropriate learning aids, info graphics, and assets for the academic and co-scholastic departments (e.g., for science exhibitions, literary festivals, and art shows).

Ø Develop and maintain the school's visual identity, ensuring consistency across all touch points as per the school's brand guidelines.

Ø Manage the school's social media visuals, creating content that is engaging for parents and the community.

Ø Design for school events such as Annual Day, Sports Day, exhibitions, and workshops, from initial concept to final execution (including invites, certificates, backdrop designs, and promotional material).

Ø Work collaboratively with teachers, administration, and student clubs to understand their design needs and provide creative solutions.

Ø Create and edit short videos for school promotions, event recaps, and student projects.

Ø Update and maintain the school website's visual elements for a fresh and engaging user experience.

## Skills

Ø Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva. Basic video editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut) are a strong advantage.

Ø Creativity & Innovation: A strong portfolio showcasing a keen eye for typography, colour, layout, and a modern, clean design aesthetic.

Ø Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interpret needs and present design concepts effectively to non-designers.

Ø Adaptability: Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced school environment.

Ø Collaborative Spirit: A team player who can work effectively with various departments and accept constructive feedback.

Ø Understanding the Audience: Ability to create designs that appeal to a diverse range of audience, from young children to parents and staff.

Key qualifications for your role

Ø A degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

Ø A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work.

Ø 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience in the education sector is preferred.

Ø Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.

Ø A clear understanding of design principles for both print and digital media.

Ø Willingness to be involved in the school's event-driven calendar, which may occasionally require flexibility.
