About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled
L3 Application Technical Support Engineer
to join our client's Technology team. This role is critical in bridging customer issues that cannot be resolved by L1 (call center) or L2 (non-technical support) teams.

As an L3 engineer, you will leverage your deep knowledge of applications, production data, and backend systems to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems.

You will work closely with development and operations teams, applying strong analytical and coding skills to provide quick workarounds, implement data fixes, and, when necessary, deliver production-ready code changes for upcoming releases. This position requires a strong engineering mindset with the ability to balance customer urgency, root-cause analysis, and long-term solutions.

This role also includes participation in a rotational shift schedule (day/night), with shift allowance provided for night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the final escalation point (L3) for application-related issues unresolved by L1 and L2 teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues by analyzing logs, production data, and code.
  • Provide quick workarounds and data fixes when required to minimize customer impact.
  • Perform root cause analysis, identify whether issues are data-related, configuration-related, or code-related, and take appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement code fixes and ensure they are tested and released as part of the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong ownership of issues through resolution and ensure high-quality documentation of fixes and root causes.
  • Work in rotational shifts (day/night) as part of a global support model.
  • Mentor and guide L2 team members to improve first-call resolution and reduce escalations.
  • Continuously explore modern tools and AI-assisted platforms (e.g., Cursor, GitLab Copilot) to improve efficiency and productivity.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field from a reputed institute.
  • Experience:
    4+ years in backend development and/or enterprise-grade application support.
  • Strong expertise in Core Java and Spring Boot 3+, with hands-on experience in microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for troubleshooting and data fixes (PostgreSQL or Oracle preferred).
  • Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, system design, and design patterns.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-first approach.
