Role Summary

The
Didactic Manager
is responsible for building and managing strong partnerships between industry and academia to foster
Centers of Excellence (COEs)
that drive innovation, applied research, and industry-ready training programs. This role combines
educational design, technical product knowledge (MES), and strategic collaboration
to ensure that partner institutions develop skilled resources aligned with Industry 4.0 and Cantier's MES ecosystem.

The position also oversees the
development and management of learning materials, LMS operations, and didactic frameworks
, ensuring seamless alignment between R&D, product capability, and academic application.

Key Responsibilities
1. Industry–Institute Collaboration & COE Development

  • Initiate and formalize partnerships with universities, polytechnics, and technical institutes to establish Cantier
    Centers of Excellence (COEs)
    in Smart Manufacturing and MES-based learning.
  • Design institutional collaboration models covering
    curriculum integration, live projects, faculty training, internships, and knowledge exchange programs
    .
  • Represent Cantier in academic and industry forums to promote thought leadership in manufacturing digitalization and Industry 4.0 ecosystems.
  • Ensure all partnerships align with organizational objectives on
    innovation, employability, and ecosystem expansion.

2. Curriculum & Training Design

  • Develop structured
    MES-oriented curricula
    , integrating theoretical foundations with practical shopfloor applications, IIoT integrations, and manufacturing analytics.
  • Create
    learning pathways
    for multiple audiences — students, faculty, and professionals — aligned with Cantier's product stack and solution areas.
  • Collaborate with product experts to design
    domain-specific certification frameworks
    (Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced) with measurable competency outcomes.
  • Regularly update training content in sync with MES product releases, architecture upgrades, and AI/IIoT integrations.

3. Learning Material & Didactic Content Management

  • Oversee the creation of comprehensive
    didactic materials
    — instructor guides, lab exercises, multimedia lessons, and real-time simulation modules.
  • Ensure learning content maintains
    technical accuracy
    ,
    pedagogical clarity
    , and
    brand consistency
    across delivery modes (online, blended, or classroom).
  • Collaborate with R&D and Technical Writing teams to maintain up-to-date documentation, aligning product features with training narratives.
  • Supervise the integration of
    AR/VR visualizations
    and
    shopfloor digital twin simulations
    in training materials for immersive learning.

4. Learning Management System (LMS) Ownership

  • Administer the Cantier LMS platform — maintaining courses, certifications, learner progress dashboards, and digital libraries.
  • Implement role-based learning access and ensure smooth LMS integration with institutional and corporate user management systems.
  • Track and report key learning metrics (enrollments, completions, assessment results) for internal and partner reviews.
  • Continuously enhance LMS usability and engagement by adopting interactive learning formats and gamification elements.

5. R&D Collaboration & Innovation Enablement

  • Enable and mentor
    joint R&D initiatives
    between Cantier product teams and partner institutions, focusing on digital twin, predictive analytics, MES data integration, and smart manufacturing models.
  • Facilitate proposal submissions for innovation grants, technical papers, and publications in collaboration with academic and research bodies.
  • Promote a culture of
    applied research, prototyping, and innovation challenges
    under the COE ecosystem.

6. Governance, Review & Reporting

  • Define and track performance metrics for COEs — including student participation, research outcomes, placement statistics, and innovation KPIs.
  • Conduct periodic audits, reviews, and workshops to ensure COE alignment with Cantier's standards and learning objectives.
  • Prepare periodic
    management reports
    highlighting engagement outcomes, training impact, and partnership expansion.
  • Coordinate with HR, Marketing, and Corporate Communication for outreach programs, events, and case study publishing.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of
    Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
    , Industry 4.0, and smart factory concepts.
  • Experience in
    academic partnerships, curriculum development, and instructional design
    .
  • Proficiency in managing
    Learning Management Systems (LMS)
    and digital content workflows.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Strong project management and documentation capabilities.
  • Ability to bridge
    technical, academic, and business perspectives
    in collaborative programs.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Education Technology.
  • Minimum
    4+ years of experience
    in industry–academia collaboration, training development, or product education roles.
  • Prior experience in
    MES, ERP, or digital manufacturing environments
    is a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to
    R&D collaboration, curriculum design, or COE establishment
    preferred.
