General Manager, (AI-First) Marketing
As we enter the next phase of growth, we are looking for a marketing leader who doesn't just adapt to change, but drives it.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking General Manager Marketing (AI-First) to join our team in Mumbai. This is not a role for the old guard; we need a driven individual with a proven track record in the tech industry who thinks "AI first." You will be responsible for reinventing our marketing strategy, aligning with the company growth objectives and marketing positioning to drive revenue growth and brand recognition, moving beyond traditional SEO/SEM to harness the power of Agentic AI, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), SIO (Structured Information Optimization), and GEO (Generative Experience Optimization). A core part of your mission will be to establish and optimize a high-quality MQL flow that directly translates into business, with a hands-on approach to CRM management. Your mission is to build an insight-driven marketing engine that not only generates demand but also builds a compelling brand narrative in the age of generative intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
Pioneer an AI-First Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive country-specific marketing strategy that leverages agentic AI and machine learning for content creation, hyper-personalization, and campaign optimization.
SMART Goals and plans: Business plans to achieve revenue, growth and market share objectives in our targeted segments
Identify and capitalize: New market opportunities, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends within the retail sector specifically around SaaS models
Drive aggressive new customer acquisition: Expand existing customer relationships through effective upsell and cross-sell strategies
Translate corporate company objectives: into actionable local initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and execution with other corporate functions.
Marketing & Brand Building:
Drive MQL to Business Conversion: Own the entire MQL flow, from initial generation to conversion. Implement and manage processes for scoring, nurturing, and tracking leads through the sales funnel. Be a power user of our CRM Zoho to ensure data integrity, pipeline visibility, and seamless collaboration with the sales team.
Reimagine Content & Search: Move ETP's digital presence beyond conventional SEO. Lead initiatives in AEO, SIO, and GEO to ensure our content provides meaningful answers, is easily discoverable by search engines, and creates immersive, generative experiences for our target audience.
Lead with Data & Insights: Utilize advanced marketing analytics and AI-powered insights to measure campaign effectiveness, predict market trends, and make real-time, data-informed decisions.
Innovate and Experiment: Drive the discovery, piloting, and integration of new marketing technologies, platforms, and AI tools to maintain our competitive edge. ( eg zoho marketing plus, and Monday for team performance, adobe, semrush, canva, chat gpt, perplexity, midjourney)
Architect Integrated Campaigns: Design and oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels (content marketing, social media, email) that are powered by AI to maximize impact and ROI.
Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with the product and sales teams to ensure a seamless lead-to-customer journey, with marketing initiatives directly supporting sales objectives.Localize marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring cultural relevance and maximizing brand awareness in the target region.
Create visibility and recall: Represent ETP group at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
Operations & Compliance:
Budget: Manage all marketing expenses, and resource allocation to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
Reports & Processes : meticulously process and result driven, focusing on plan, processes, reports, analysis and systems for outstanding team performance..
Team Leadership & Development:
Build a future-ready Team. Lead and mentor a lean, agile marketing team, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous learning in new technologies and tools.
Recruit, train, and retain: top talent across all sales functions, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
Mentor the Team: Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Own the team's deliverables:Conduct regular performance reviews and manage individual and team performance effectively.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus. English language fluency is mandatory.
Experience: 8-12 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a B2B SaaS or tech company. Proven track record of consistently exceeding marketing targets and driving significant revenue growth in a competitive market.
Mindset: A demonstrable "AI first" approach to marketing, with a deep understanding of current and emerging AI technologies and their applications in the marketing domain. Also a global approach with extensive knowledge of the India, Philippines, Indonesia retail market dynamics, business environment, cultural nuances, and regulatory landscape would be a real plus point
Expertise: Hands-on experience with modern marketing automation platforms and a track record of implementing successful, innovative digital strategies.
Knowledge: Profound understanding of the shift from traditional SEO to new search paradigms like AEO, SIO, and GEO. Deep understanding of the SaaS business model, metrics (ARR, Churn, LTV, CAC), and enterprise solution marketing methodologies.
Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
CRM & Sales Enablement: Demonstrated expertise in CRM platforms and a deep understanding of the marketing-to-sales handoff process, with a focus on delivering qualified leads and enabling sales success.
Location: This role is based in Mumbai, India. This is a work from office position. This is NOT a hybrid position.
