ABAP CDS (Core Data Services)

  • This is the main requirement.
  • CDS is used to create advanced data models on top of SAP tables.
  • It helps build views that can be consumed for reporting, analytics, or UI applications.
  • They want someone who has hands-on experience writing CDS views.

Good to Have

Worked on SAP S/4HANA

  • Experience in S/4HANA is preferred because CDS is widely used there.
  • Not mandatory, but knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities / Scope

Reporting involving CDS, AMDP with Fiori UI

  1. CDS for Reporting

  2. Create and enhance CDS views for analytical or transactional reporting.

  3. Used for extracting data and exposing it to Fiori apps.

  4. AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)

  5. Write SQL-based logic executed in the database (especially HANA).

  6. Useful for complex calculations that need high performance.

  7. Fiori as UI

  8. Reports developed via CDS/AMDP should be exposed through SAP Fiori apps.

  9. Developer should know how CDS integrates with Fiori (annotations, OData, etc.).

  • Strong coding experience in ABAP CDS views.
  • Experience in reporting using CDS + AMDP.
  • Understanding of HANA environment.
