Job Title: Manufacturing - Laser Hardening

Location: Hyderabad

Job Description:

Reporting to the Production manager, Laser Hardening Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining laser hardening equipment to enhance the hardness and wear resistance of metal components. This role involves ensuring that the laser hardening process is performed accurately, maintaining equipment, and adhering to quality and safety standards

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Previous experience operating laser hardening machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Familiarity with laser hardening processes and techniques is beneficial
  • Ability to operate and adjust laser hardening machines and understand technical specifications Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment
  • High level of accuracy in achieving the desired hardness and surface finish while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Ability to assess the effectiveness of the laser hardening process, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings, documenting processes, and collaborating with team members
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, handle and maneuverer components, and perform tasks in a manufacturing environment
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to lasers and high temperatures. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Follow proper procedures for handling and operating laser equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engg, Additional training or certifications related to laser hardening or materials science are advantageous with Exp 4 to 5 years
