Deputy Manager - Finance | Finance | Mumbai - India

About the role:

The Deputy Manager - Finance will support the Financial Controller in managing the company's financial accounting, reporting, and control environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound understanding of financial regulations in India, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-intensive environment typical of the money exchange and financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

· MIS & Management Reporting: Prepare the monthly MIS and financial reporting packs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission to senior management. Provide insights and commentary on performance trends..

· Financial Review & Reconciliations: Review ledger balances, conduct analytical reviews of balance sheet and P&L accounts, and ensure prompt resolution of discrepancies. Authorize journal and rectification entries uploaded to the accounting system and maintain proper audit trails.

· Statutory Financial Statements: Preparation and finalization of statutory financial statements in line with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

· Bank reconciliation: Review and approve daily bank reconciliations across all accounts. Monitor clearing items and ensure timely corrective entries.

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for review and approval by the Board.

· Regulatory & Statutory Filings: Ensure timely submission of statutory, regulatory, and compliance-related returns to relevant authorities.

· Audit Coordination: Prepare audit schedules, liaise with statutory and internal auditors, and address audit queries promptly to ensure smooth completion of audit processes.

· Internal Controls & Compliance: Strengthen internal controls and procedures to enhance accuracy, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with regulations applicable to money exchange and financial services operations.

· Reporting & Reconciliations: Prepare specialized reports such as Corporate Customer and VTO reports, and oversee reconciliation of inter-company accounts

Qualifications & Experience:

· CA or CA final persuing candidate.

· Minimum 8yrs overall experience (2yrs in Accounting in Finance) and / or with 1yr post CA

Key Competencies:

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Strong grasp of accounting principles and regulatory requirements

· Ability to manage priorities and operate effectively under pressure.
