Position- NPI Leader

Key Requirements

The NPI Leader is responsible for leading and managing the introduction of new products into

manufacturing, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to mass production.

Role Purpose

This role involves cross-functional coordination, process validation, line setup, documentation

control, and quality assurance during pilot and initial production runs.

The NPI Leader ensures that all manufacturing processes, tools, equipment, and materials are fully

validated and optimized to meet customer and quality requirements before handover to production.

Responsibilities

Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electronics / Information technology/ Computer)

5+ years experience in EMS field

Qualifications

Experience

In-depth knowledge of SMT, THT, and Box Build processes.

Skills

Expertise in process setup, validation, and optimization.

Familiarity with DFM/DFA, FMEA, and Control Plan preparation.

Understanding of IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 quality standards.

Experience in AOI, SPI, ICT, and Functional Testing systems.

Knowledge of component engineering and alternate part qualification.

Strong project planning and execution ability using tools like Gantt Charts / MS Project.

Analytical problem-solving using 8D, RCA, and CAPA methodologies.

Data analysis for yield, defect trend, and process capability (Cp/Cpk).

Ability to handle multiple NPI projects simultaneously.

Leadership in managing cross-functional NPI teams.

Effective coordination with customers, R&D, QA, and production.

Excellent presentation, communication, and reporting skills.

Strong decision-making ability under tight deadlines.

Proficiency in ERP / MES systems, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools.

Preparation of SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.

Knowledge of ISO/IATF audit documentation requirements.

Innovative and proactive mindset.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.

Ability to work under pressure and within strict timelines.
