Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned
Mainframe Developer
 with strong technical skills in mainframe technologies and production support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading development, maintenance, and support tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable mainframe solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using
    COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF
  • Work with
    IMS databases
    ,
    DB2 stored procedures
    ,
    SPUFI
    ,
    QMF
    ,
    MQ Series
    , and
    SORT utilities
  • Manage code using
    ADE Workbench
     and
    SCLM
  • Utilize tools such as
    INSYNC
     and
    IBM load utilities
     for data manipulation and synchronization
  • Handle production releases and provide both
    pre- and post-production support
  • Address production issues and ensure compliance with
    SLAs
  • Create and review
    technical specifications
    ,
    test plans
    , and perform
    root cause analysis
     for defects
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and provide technical input
  • Maintain rules using
    Rules Maintenance Systems
     and support
    document composition
     using
    Exstream Dialogue
  • Work with
    AFP/PDF output creation
    ,
    style sheets
    ,
    workflow
    ,
    document flows
    , and
    variables
  • Map driver files and variables for dynamic document generation
  • Conduct system training sessions and support team members as needed

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    mainframe technologies
     (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, VSAM)
  • Expertise in
    dialogue tools
    , including
    Exstream Dialogue
     for document generation
  • Understanding of
    Boolean logic
    , conditional logic, and
    advanced table usage
  • Strong
    problem-solving
    ,
    analytical
    , and
    documentation
     skills
  • Experience with
    Agile methodology
     and working with tools like
    ServiceNow
  • Good knowledge of
    insurance domain
     and
    product workflows
     (preferred)
  • Proficient in
    MS Office Suite
     (Excel, Word, PDF)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic knowledge of
    desktop publishing
  • Familiarity with
    Offering Configuration Systems
  • Experience in
    training and supporting
     internal teams
  • Strong time management, proactive attitude, and task ownership
