Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect to lead our engineering team. This pivotal role involves not only guiding the team through the complexities of software development but also acting as the chief architect in designing solutions that meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, with a particular focus on EDI systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management: Lead the engineering team, ensuring high productivity, quality software development, and team cohesion. Mentor team members and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Technical Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient software architectures for EDI and logistics solutions. Ensure that architectural designs align with industry standards and client requirements.

Solution Design: Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and clients to translate business needs into technical solutions. Develop comprehensive solution design documents and specifications.

Project Oversight: Oversee multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve any architectural or technical hurdles.

Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the ports and logistics sector. Lead research and development efforts to explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance our product offerings and service delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key technical liaison between the engineering team and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a TIER-1 institute

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or architectural role.

- Deep understanding of EDI standards and protocols, especially as they apply to the ports and logistics sector.

- Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale software solutions.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage an engineering team.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic planning abilities.

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.

- Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai
