Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Strong technical knowledge of paint processes like liquid painting, powder coating, plating, CED, phosphating and shot blasting etc.Responsible for paint process audit at in-house/ supplier processes and NC's closure along with relevent stakeholders.Paint failure analysis and actions closure for all customer issues including In-house as well as yard/ field issues and monitoring effectiveness of actions taken.Process and part validation as per change management pertaining to painting processes.Independently hand ling overall paint lab activities in the plant and ensure incoming and in-process paint testing.Involvement in design reviews and AQP for new development parts for paint parameters and process evaluation.Monitor and improve part audit process and review component audit parameters as per warrenty, yard and line issues.Supplier assessment for paint facility/ process approvals as per requirement.Co-ordinate with NPD, SQI, manufacturing and sourcing and provide technical support and guidance with respect to paint parameters.Creation and modifications of paint stand ards and SOP to stand ardize paint improvements/ changes.Skill development and training for lab technician wrt paint testing, equipment calibration and new technology updates Preferred Industries
