Head Design

· Meeting with Clients to understand their design requirement, incorporating their feedback and assessing the design to ensure it meets Customer Objectives.

· Coordinate within Engineering Department for design delivery, preparing Schedule, setting timelines and delegating tasks to ensure delivery as per agreed delivery schedule

· Design and detail engineering of Boilers, Pressure vessels / heat exchangers as per IBR 1950, International codes such as ASME Section VIII Div.- 1 & 2, and shall have experience with design software Compress, PV Elite, Aspen (B-JAC) and HTRI.

· Thermal rating/ thermal design and mechanical design (including design calculations) of various types of Boilers, Pressure vessels /Heat exchangers. Candidate should be capable of independently doing mechanical & thermal design of Boilers, Pressure Vessels /Heat exchangers and should be familiar with all aspect of mechanical design of Boilers, Heat exchangers and Pressure vessels.

· Check documentation is completed correctly and available for all project releases, ensuring quality, suitability and correctness and aligned to the specific project requirements.

· Provide updates to Internal / External Customers on the design status and potential approval issues.

· Provide Technical support to Purchase in the procurement activities and Site team.

· Preparation of Technical Specifications, coordination with Vendors for reviewing and approving Technical offers as per Project requirements.

· Coordinate for design delivery of various projects and pursue for resource allocation.

· Preparation / Review of Material Take off, Material specifications and Purchase requisitions.

Qualifications : BE/BTech in Mechanical / Instrumentation /Electrical Engineering

Experience :15 to 20 years in Engineering industry with hands on experience in preparation of Design calculations and Drawing review.

1) Well versed with Boiler, Pressure Vessel Design softwares like Codecac, PVElite, Compress, etc.
