Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Business & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Zonal Sales Heads on people strategy
  • Translate sales business plans into manpower and capability requirements
  • Provide insights on productivity, attrition, and sales workforce metrics

Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning

  • Drive end-to-end hiring for frontline sales roles (Sales Officers, TSI, ASM, etc.)
  • Coordinate with TA teams to ensure timely closures and quality hiring
  • Support workforce planning for expansions, new launches, and seasonal spikes

Performance Management & Rewards

  • Drive goal setting, PMS cycles, and mid-year / annual reviews for Sales teams
  • Support rollout and governance of sales incentive and variable pay plans
  • Enable performance improvement plans for low performers

Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Act as a trusted HR partner for field sales employees
  • Design and execute engagement initiatives for distributed sales teams
  • Analyze attrition trends and implement targeted retention actions

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Handle employee relations issues, disciplinary cases, and grievances
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR policies
  • Support audits, documentation, and investigations as required

Learning & Capability Development

  • Identify capability gaps and partner with L&D for sales effectiveness programs
  • Support onboarding, induction, and manager capability building

Change & Communication Management

  • Support territory changes, restructuring, and new product rollouts
  • Drive communication of HR initiatives across the sales workforce
