Job Description - Barista

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our café team. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and light food items such as sandwiches and snacks, while maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring a clean, welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to café standards.
• Prepare and assemble light food items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, and snacks.
• Warm and plate bakery products (croissants, pastries, cookies, etc.).
• Greet customers, take orders, and deliver exceptional service.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, ovens, and other café equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in workstations, kitchen, and service areas.
• Restock ingredients, monitor inventory, and inform the manager of shortages.
• Handle billing, cash, and operate the POS system accurately.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Support café operations and assist colleagues as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in food & beverage service is preferred (training available for freshers).
• Knowledge of coffee brewing and basic food preparation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and consistency in preparation.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and billing.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
