Job Description

An experienced
Oracle PL/SQL Developer
 to join our engineering team for a prestigious client project with Leading bank. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, database architecture, and performance tuning, along with experience working in agile enterprise environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, packages, and views.
  • Write efficient SQL queries ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application integration with databases.
  • Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and code reviews.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex database issues and production defects.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions.
  • Work on data partitioning, database performance strategies, and archival solutions.
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation including database schemas and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity and security standards are adhered to.
  • Follow best engineering practices and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills

  • 8–12 years of hands-on experience in 
    Oracle PL/SQL development
    .
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and performance tuning.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
  • Experience with tools like 
    Oracle SQL Developer/Toad/PL/SQL Developer
    .
  • Familiarity with 
    query execution plans and indexing strategies
    .
  • Knowledge of 
    database design / data modeling
     concepts.
  • Experience with 
    Git or other version control systems
    .
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to 
    Java
     or 
    Java-based backend systems
    .
  • Experience working in 
    Agile/Scrum
     environments.
  • Knowledge of 
    Unix shell scripting
     is a plus.
  • Experience in the 
    Payments/Banking domain
     preferred.
