Qualification Required:

  • DMLT / BMLT from a recognized institution
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, specimen handling, and safety procedures
  • Basic computer skills for report entry and documentation

Skills Required:

  • Good technical knowledge of hematology, biochemistry, and microbiology tests
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Ability to handle lab equipment and maintain calibration records
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of infection control and biosafety protocols

Experience Requirement:

  • 12 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory
  • Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also be considered

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, etc.) accurately
  • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests as per doctor's orders
  • Maintain proper documentation, registers, and daily test logs
  • Ensure quality control and calibration of laboratory instruments
  • Coordinate with pathologist and clinical staff for timely report delivery
  • Follow safety and infection control guidelines in all lab activities
  • Maintain inventory of reagents, consumables, and glassware
  • Assist in sample dispatch, report printing, and result verification
  • Handle patient queries politely and maintain confidentiality
  • Support in internal/external audits and NABH documentation compliance
