Design Assurance is responsible for ensuring that planning and design activities are initiatted and completed on time and in line with the organization goals and objectives. This role involves conducting reviews and documenting issue, developing and implementing design assurance procedures, ensuring alignment with internal STRAP, Budget and  regulatory approvals/submissions, collaborating with cross functional teams and contributing to continuous improvement in planning and design assurance.

You'll be responsible for:

Alignment with internal strategies:

Implement tasks related to planning and design assurance, ensuring time and budget control of all planning and design activities, including timely initiation and completion of the same after maintaining synergy with internal strategies/commitments to external stakeholders (e.g. 5 year STRAP, annual budget, AERA approvals, mandate from DGCA/BCAS/MoCA/APHO, BoI,  environment clearance mandate, or any other).

The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring that established procedures and guidelines are followed to ensure alignment with project goals and enhance overall project efficiency.

Design Reviews and Documenting Issues:

Conduct thorough reviews including entire planning and design team (HO and all assets) to identify and document any issues or discrepancies and maintaining records from time to time.

Develop and Implement Design Assurance Procedures:

Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive procedures and guidelines for design assurance. Support the integration of these procedures into the planning and design processes to ensure consistency and compliance.

Provide guidance and support during the implementation of design assurance procedures, ensuring that all processes align with quality and project standards.

Regulatory Compliance:

As part of overall planning and design assurance, ensuring that timely planning/design action is taken on all mandates of regulatory authorities (AERA, MoEFCC/State Environemnt Department, BCAS, BoI, Customs, APHO, etc.) or commitments given to the regulatory authorities. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers and external consultants, to ensure time and budget control.

Facilitate effective communication and teamwork to integrate design assurance seamlessly into all aspects of the project.

Facilitate regular meetings and share updates with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Continous Improvement and Innovation:

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by staying informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in planning and design assurance. Apply this knowledge to improve design processes and maintain high standards of quality.

Must possess excellent skills in project management software such as PrimaVera/MS project and should be capable of generating project schedules highlighting inter-dependencies. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design assurance activities

You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree in architecture.

Experience of projects of a similar nature.
