Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 support for network-related issues, escalating to L3 when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential problems before they impact business operations.
  • Perform network configurations, updates, and security patches to maintain system integrity.
  • Assist in managing and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or other networking equipment.
    • Work with ISPs and vendors to resolve external network connectivity issues. |
    • Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams and procedures.
  • Support VoIP, wireless networks, and cloud-based networking solutions.
  • Implement network security policies and ensure compliance with IT security standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and provide permanent solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to L1 support engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in network support, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting.
    • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
  • Understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
    • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
