Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of database professionals in the management, maintenance, and enhancement of Oracle databases.
  • Ensure database performance, security, and integrity in a high-availability setting.
  • Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to optimize database operations and support application development.
  • Implement and maintain database backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of complex database issues.
  • Manage database capacity planning and scalability to support business growth.
  • Oversee the implementation of Oracle database policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Experience leading a database team in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, software, and tools.
  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database management and tuning.
  • Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud services is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
