Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bengaluru for a aero Tooling Designer. The Tooling Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Aerostructure assembly tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes. The designer will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness of tools. Day-to-day activities include creating CAD models, conducting feasibility studies, troubleshooting tooling issues on the shop floor, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, Catia v5 and advanced 3D modeling tools
  • Experience in designing Assembly tools, jigs, and fixtures based on manufacturing requirements
  • Strong understanding of Aerospace materials, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for production challenges
  • Knowledge of Airbus, Boeing industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices
  • Excellent team collaboration, communication, and project management abilities
  • Experience in aerospace or automotive industries is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge on Laser tracker and Assembly jigsetting with aircraft datum system.
  • Responsible for customer interaction and solve Day to Day issues.
