Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in high-rise building construction to join our dynamic team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge, proven site management capabilities, and the ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Supervision

  • Oversee day-to-day site activities for high-rise projects (residential/commercial).
  • Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor and control project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality meets design and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with structural design codes (IS codes, NBC, etc.) and local authority norms.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for material testing and approval.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with architects, structural consultants, MEP engineers, and clients for technical coordination.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, bar charts, and project updates.
  • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams for timely availability of materials and resources.

4. Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Review and approve structural drawings, BOQs, and work orders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and site logs.
  • Provide technical inputs for cost estimation and tender documentation when required.

5. Team Leadership

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and site supervisors.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality protocols across all site operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques for high-rise structures (RCC, post-tensioning, pile foundations, etc.)
  • Expertise in project planning, scheduling (MS Project / Primavera), and site management.
  • In-depth understanding of IS codes, structural drawings, and material specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E. / M.Tech preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in high-rise projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
