Job Profile:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications, APIs, and services that consume and process data from Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Implement ETL/ELT pipelines integrating Databricks and Snowflake with external systems and applications.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions for analytics and business use cases.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data storage, retrieval, and transformation workflows.
  • Write and maintain optimized SQL queries for Snowflake and PySpark/Spark jobs for Databricks.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance in application design.
  • Integrate with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data ingestion, processing, and delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in data application development.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, MLflow optional).
  • Proficient in Snowflake — SnowSQL, Snowpark (optional), query optimization.
  • Strong skills in Python and/or Java/Scala for backend development.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating them with data platforms.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, dbt, or similar).
  • Strong experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services.
  • Good understanding of data security, governance, and compliance principles.
