HVAC Design engineer

This position within AtkinsRéalis' Middle East Design Team focuses on delivering innovative, sustainable, and technically robust solutions across all MEP disciplines, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Public Health Engineering. The role demands strong technical leadership, the ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert, and a growing reputation both internally and externally. Responsibilities include leading complex design packages, ensuring "Safe by Design" principles, driving digital transformation, and promoting quality and technical governance. The candidate will contribute to business strategy through research and innovation, mentor teams, and support knowledge management initiatives, while maintaining commercial awareness and client engagement. This is an opportunity to influence multidisciplinary projects, develop technical capability within the team, and progress toward senior technical authority roles.

• Developing technical expertise and ability to deliver without supervision in one or more areas of familiar discipline and in exceptional cases, other disciplines.

• Expected to be trained in advanced level of digital/design transformation. Ability to contribute significantly in the application of digital technology to designs and project deliveries.

• Support Project/Design managers/ leads to create/ update project related trackers/ records (Risk register, Issue log, budget tracker, delivery tracker etc.

• Able to take the lead for delivery at work package level.

• Evaluates alternatives, weighs pros and cons, makes well-informed decisions.

• Able to present technical work on the project to clients.

• Monitors quality of project deliverables and complies with technical assurance.

• Looks for opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures. Questions and challenges conventional work methodology.

• Contributing to bids and other win work activities.

• Able to realistically estimate pricing/timing for tasks within their discipline, in case of lesser complex projects.

• Leads the delivery of tasks/ projects with focus on time, cost and quality requirements.

• Looks for opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures.
