SDET Engineer

At Global Link Digital, a division of State Street Global Markets, our goal is to be the leading distribution platform that delivers access to financing, liquidity, and asset intelligence across electronic markets.

Modern distribution of product across State Street, reducing silos and creating new solutions to natively cross sell and generate 3rd party revenue; dramatically enhancing our customer experience through a cutting-edge design system and single sign-on framework.

The objective is to provide integrated connectivity to State Street-owned and external trading venues, and trading-related services providing transparency throughout the end-to-end trade lifecycle.

We are looking to hire a Senior UI lead to support our web and desktop-based applications.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

MUST have skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5-8 Years experience in white box testing / Software development engineer in testing role.
• Strong hands-on coding skills  in Java / C# / Perl / Python or other programming languages.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design is a key requirement for this role
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in all components of the cycle.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills along with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
• Self-motivated,  quick learner and creative problem solver, organized, and responsible team player
• Experience/Knowledge of working "AGILE + DevOps" process management methodology.
• SDET should have knowledge about various test method & corresponding tools like MS Test, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver etc.
• SDET should have exposure to Behavior Driven Development, Cucumber, API Testing.
• Able to find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools.
• Strong Backend testing skills with ability to write SQL queries in SQL/Oracle databases.
• SDET should able to perform Test Automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application platforms like Web, Mobile, and Desktop.
• Investigate customer problems referred by the technical support teams

Nice to have skills:

• Any QA certification to highlight specific Automation skillset is a definite plus
• Knowledge of Financial transaction workflows like clearing, STP, Order management, FIX protocol
• Experience on Selenium, QTP tools is a plus
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating system. Must be comfortable using standard UNIX utilities.
• Experience in automation of messaging based application is a major plus.
