Guidewire Ratings Developer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Ratings Developer to design, configure, and implement rating solutions within the Guidewire InsuranceSuite (primarily PolicyCenter). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Guidewire Rating Management, Product Model, and Gosu programming, with a strong understanding of insurance rating and pricing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and implement Guidewire Rating Management components (rate books, rate tables, rating worksheets, and formulas).

Customize and extend Guidewire PolicyCenter functionality using Gosu and Guidewire Studio.

Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to gather rating requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Develop and maintain Product Model, including coverages, terms, and policy lines.

Optimize rating performance and ensure accuracy of rating calculations.

Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for rating-related components.

Provide technical documentation and support throughout the SDLC.

Work with QA teams to validate rating logic through test scenarios.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

3+ years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter with a focus on Rating Management.

Proficiency in Gosu programming, Java, and XML.

Strong knowledge of insurance rating concepts (premium calculation, rating algorithms, rate tables).

Experience with Guidewire Product Model configuration.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Guidewire certification in PolicyCenter or Rating Management.

Familiarity with Guidewire BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.

Experience in Agile development methodology.

Knowledge of SQL/Oracle databases and web services (SOAP/REST).

Exposure to performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics) is a plus.
