Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Plant Supervisor (Rice flour processing) to oversee the daily operations of our company plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, supervising plant staff, and maintaining machinery and safety protocols. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely production in line with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
Supervise and coordinate daily milling and packaging operations.
Ensure production targets and quality standards are met consistently.
Optimize plant processes for efficiency and minimal wastage.
Team Management
Supervise plant workers, assign duties, and monitor performance.
Train new employees on machinery, safety, and standard operating procedures.
Maintain discipline and resolve staff issues in coordination with HR.
Quality & Compliance
Monitor quality control checks at every stage of production.
Ensure hygiene, food safety, and adherence to FSSAI/ISO standards.
Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality logs.
Maintenance & Safety
Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and serviced regularly.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs and breakdown handling.
Enforce plant safety rules and conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
Inventory & Reporting
Monitor raw material usage and finished goods inventory.
Report daily production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for raw material availability.
Key Requirements
Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, or relevant field.
Experience: Minimum 3-7+ years of experience in plant/mill operations, preferably in a food rice flour processing unit.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Working knowledge of food production equipment and industrial safety standards.
Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and quality control practices.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work in shifts and handle operational challenges under pressure.
