Role Overview:

Design, deploy, and maintain statistical and machine learning models to analyze real-time telemetry data from critical electrical and mechanical systems across data center infrastructure. The role involves leveraging engineering and data science expertise to detect anomalies, predict failures, and optimize performance across electrical (Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS, ATS/STS, PDU/PMM) and mechanical (Chillers, HVAC, AHU/CRAC/CRAH, Cooling Towers, Process Cooling, Water Systems) equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, train, and deploy ML/statistical models for real-time telemetry data analysis of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Identify anomalies, predict equipment degradation, and support root cause analysis for system failures.
  • Derive and apply electrical and mechanical equations (current, voltage, power, temperature, pressure, flow) for performance monitoring and statistical process control.
  • Design monitoring logic and algorithms to proactively detect and alert on anomalies in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with data center operations and engineering teams to validate anomalies, perform RCA, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize system performance and model insights.
  • Continuously refine anomaly detection models based on new data, feedback, and industry best practices.
  • Document methodologies, findings, and resolutions to enhance the organizations knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, with demonstrated experience in Data Science or Computer Science Engineering.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data processing and model development.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (Feeders, Transformers, UPS, ATS/STS, Chillers, HVAC, Cooling Units, CRAC/CRAH, Water Systems).
  • Strong understanding of power systems, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Experience with telemetry data and sensor outputs (current, voltage, temperature, pressure, flow rate).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
