Mechanical Engineer

One of our client is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer/Consultant in Mumbai (Andheri East)

Title : Mechanical Engineer/Consultant

Location : Mumbai
(Andheri East)

Experience : 8-10 years after graduation

Qualifications : BE or ME in Mechanical any reputed institution in India or abroad

Professional Certifications: : IEng/CEng (EC-UK), PE (any state in USA), or similar international

certification will have better weightage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing design and developing drawings for various mechanical systems like compressors,

boilers, ETP, WTP, STP, Industrial Fluids, like steam, water, compressed air, Thermic fluid,

cooling water, chilled water, raw water, process water, soft water, gas line and related piping

design.

• Prepare design calculations on basis of approval of DBR prepared by Sr. design Engineers /

design engineers.

• Preparation for Effluent drain layout and calculation.

• Preparation for mechanical tender & fire tender document

• Prepare Piping support design for steam, Thermic fluid, compressed Air, cooling water, chilled

water, raw water, process water soft water, gas line etc.

• Prepare & review the pipe rack layout and section\ detail.

• Preparation for Underground tank, raw water tank, soft water tank, Air receiver Tank etc.

• Design of Rainwater/Stormwater drainage and preparation of layout as per provisions of the

NBC.

• Design and development of drawings for sanitary drainage, wastewater treatment (STP etc),

environmental (Rainwater harvesting and reuse of treated water).

• Preparation of tender specification & BOQ for all equipment/systems, tender evaluation,

interaction under the guidance of Sr. Engineer/HOD.

• Managing interface with other engineering team leaders / PMs for data collection and obtain

project brief, scope of work and time schedule.

• Submit project wise progress to PMs / HODs periodically as required.

• Estimation of Industrial Fluids, like steam, water, compressed air, Thermic fluid, cooling water,

chilled water, raw water, process water, soft water, gas line, etc for the project and estimation

of pipe sizing for these services.

• Estimation of capacity of prime equipment's like Boilers, TFH, Air compressors, fuel storage,

water storage, Pumps etc.

• Provide support in preparation of P&ID as per project requirement.

• Contribute to technical assistance in procurement of various mechanical tender packages and

be involved throughout the tendering processes.

• Support building and updating the databank within the group in terms of costing, data on

similar executed projects, standard designs and details, statutory regulations, Indian and

International codes, equipment wise data on various equipment.

• Prepare design calculations for Roof gutter sizing and downtake pipes.

• Seek inputs from stress analysis reports and coordinate with other disciplines for design of pipe

racks.

• Fire protection design as applicable with respect to the NBC, NFPA, TAC etc.

• Master planning for the utility lines in conjunction with the storage, generation and application

points and Internal utility layouts as per the project.

• Preparation of Pipe Isometric drawing.

• Wherever necessary, interaction with Client on technical issues to obtain their

comments/approval on design documents, to their satisfaction.

Technical Skill Set Required:

• Excellent technical knowledge and latest update of market

• Knowledge of software required for designing

• Complete awareness of safety standards, regulations as well as IS and International codes
