Role Description:

SAP ECC BW Functional Support Consultant

Location: Remote (India-based, supporting EST business hours)

Duration: Full Time with K2 Partnering Solutions

Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST (India evening shift)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC BW Functional Consultant to provide day-to-day support, reporting analysis, and enhancement delivery for our North America operations. The consultant will work remotely from India during U.S. Eastern Time business hours to ensure the smooth operation of the SAP BW environment integrated with ECC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional support for SAP BW 7.x integrated with ECC modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, etc.).
  • Analyze business reporting needs and translate them into BW data models, queries, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate data accuracy and ensure reporting consistency.
  • Support issue resolution for data extraction, transformation, and reporting errors.
  • Perform testing, documentation, and user acceptance support for enhancements and fixes.
  • Work closely with technical BW and ABAP teams for system improvements and performance optimization.
  • Participate in daily/weekly operational and coordination calls with the onshore BI and business teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP BW functional experience, including ECC data modeling and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of InfoProviders, DSOs, InfoCubes, BEx queries, and data flows.
  • Proven ability to interpret business reporting requirements and translate them into BW solutions.
  • Solid understanding of ECC functional data sources and integration points (FI/CO, MM, SD).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and align with EST business hours.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with BW on HANA or BW/4HANA.
  • Exposure to front-end tools such as SAP BEx Analyzer, Analysis for Office, or BOBJ.
  • Prior experience supporting U.S.-based or global business units.
