Head PPC(Woven Fabric)

Role & responsibilities

1. Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on order requirements, capacity, and material availability.
• Ensure synchronization between spinning, winding, warping, sizing, weaving, processing, and folding departments.
• Monitor production status and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.

2. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with marketing, production, and quality departments to ensure clarity on order priorities and specifications.
• Coordinate with stores and purchase teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
• Maintain effective communication across departments for real-time updates and quick resolution of bottlenecks.

3. Monitoring & Control

• Track production performance against plans and identify deviations or delays.
• Optimize machine utilization, manpower deployment, and minimize idle time.
• Implement effective control systems to manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) at each stage.
• Analyze production data for capacity planning and process improvement.

4. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.
• Highlight variances between planned vs actual production and suggest corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records for production, consumption, and efficiency.

5. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

• Drive initiatives for process standardization, efficiency improvement, and waste reduction.
• Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams for continuous improvement in product quality and productivity.
• Suggest and implement methods for cost control and productivity enhancement.

6. Team Management

• Lead, guide, and develop the PPC team to ensure effective performance and succession planning.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Textile Technology or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 1015 years in Production Planning & Control within the textile industry, preferably with exposure to spinning, weaving, processing, and folding operations.
• Skills Required:
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities
• Proficiency in SAP software
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
